D.O.T. GIVES ADVICE TO TRUCKERS & D.O.T.. Recently a truck driver was pulled over in Massachusetts with a faulty wheel on his semi truck. He was missing several lug nuts which is a hazard. He was put out of service and out of danger. There has been several accidents in the past few years involving loose wheels on tractor-trailers. When a wheel breaks free from a moving rig, it can cause major damage and even be deadly. In August of 2019 a truck driver on Interstate 75 lost a set of tandem wheels that traveled across the medium and stuck and killed a 36 year old woman.
