Some people believe in religion. But Jesus wants us to believe in Him. The story of the adulterous woman paints a picture of Jesus and religion. Religion is focused on self-righteousness. Jesus is righteousness. Religion wants to impact, but Jesus brings transformation. Religion tries to look good, but Jesus is good. Religion tries its best, but Jesus is the best. Religion tries to remove Jesus from the equation, but Jesus says, “I am the answer.” This morning, we’re going to discover three Biblical principles that lead us to the truth about Jesus and religion.
