Often the reason we undermine our own attempts at Happy is because of confusion about the relationship between the "happy" and "pleasure" John 10:10-11 v.10 The thief comes to steal, kill and destroy. I have come that you may have life and have it to the full." v.11 "I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep." Are you going to follow the thief or the shepherd? The problem is not either/or, the problem is priority. Romans 6:16 v.16 Don't you know that when you offer yourself to someone to obey him as slaves, you are slaves to the one whom you obey?" Whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience which leads to righteousness.. Sin always takes. Jesus always gives. Happy are those who have peace. Peace with yourself. Peace with God. Peace with those around you.
