The Christian life is to be theocentric, God-centered, not focused on ourselves. Your theology, or understanding of God, will greatly affect your doxology, or worship of God. We were built for wonder and there is no greater wonder than discovering the splendor, majesty, awesomeness, and holiness of God. God is holy in all of his attributes.
