Risk of Strong to Severe Thunderstorms Over the Central and Eastern U.S.; Critical Fire Weather Conditions in the West - A front over the Upper Midwest to the Central High Plains will move slowly eastward during the next couple of days. Strong to severe thunderstorms and the risk of flash flooding will be possible along and ahead of the front. Meanwhile, critical fire weather conditions will persist in much of the Great Basin and Southwest.
