Imagine hooking into a 12' fish weighing over 500 pounds in a freshwater river!  The Sturgeon in the Columbia river system grow to enormous size and Bill Gaither, owner of NW Hawg Hunters,  makes it his job to put his clients on these amazing fish every day he is on the water. Bill has been fishing Sturgeon in Oregon for over 30 years and has hooked more Sturgeon than you can imagine.   He knows both the Columbia river and the Willamette river like the back of his hand and is very well respected amongst his fellow professional fishing guides. During this interview we talk with Bill about his long career and some of the the tips and techniques he uses to catch these prehistoric fish.   Bill also fishes for Chinook Salmon during the Spring and Fall runs.   During this time many of his clients enjoy a day fishing for both Salmon and Sturgeon.
