Rick has served as a consultant on gay, lesbian and transgender issues to a wide range of elected and appointed officials. He is currently policy adviser to The Civil Rights Agenda." Rick brings a lot to the LGBTQ community with organization and passion. He was a key organizer and lobbyist for the passage of the City of Chicago Human Rights Ordinance (1988), Cook County Human Relations Ordinance (1993) and an amendment adding sexual orientation and gender identity to the Illinois Human Rights Act. Tonight Rick will tell us a little about last week and the weeks before and what it took to get us to this point.
