Violence Against Women Act What It Means For You

Informações:

Sinopse

Every day we pass women on the streets who have been victims of Domestic Violence. The front pages of newspapers across the country report stories of another woman (Native American tribal women, lesbian, bi sexual, transgendered or heterosexual) dead at the hands of a violent intimate partner and we wonder why she was never given the proper services to help her protect her. On March 7th 2013, President Obama signed into law the re-authorized Violence against Women Act that provides for more services for victims of Domestic Violence. This law will give agencies the ability to apply for grants and obtain money to help educate about the prevention of sexual abuse and have the ability to care for Domestic Violence  Call in on 347-215-8985 at 10:30 pm eastern time, 9:30 pm central standard time, 8:30 pm mountain time and 7:30 pm pacific time Wednesday, March 13th.
