Waimakariri's mayor is on a DIY mission to save the area's local Bunnings.The Australian owned hardware chain is considering closing seven stores across Canterbury, Waikato and Hawkes Bay.Dan Gordon told Chris Lynch he got in touch with Bunnings the day after the announcement to urge them to keep the Rangiora store.He's hopeful he'll make an impact.The Rangiora store employs 21 people.
