Questions are being asked over why the Government can't foot the bill to take care of Christchurch's homeless.The council's own housing committee has recommended it contributes 800 thousand dollars to fixing the problem in the city, on top of Government's commitment of four million dollars towards a Housing First InitiativeCouncillor Aaron Keown tells Chris Lynch that while the scheme is the right way to tackle homelessness, local government's money would be best used elsewhere.
