Sinopse

Bird migration expert, Massey University's School of Agriculture associate professor,  Phil Battley told Chris Lynch that climate change may be playing a part in godwits leaving earlier than they used to.The birds fly 17-thousand kilometres return a year between the Garden City and breeding grounds in the Arctic tundra - the longest known non-stop migration for any bird.Battley says the birds fly via Asia but that's a problem, as the habitat's degrading rapidly and they're losing their stop-over food supply.
