D.  Does everybody need a trust?  Should you name a corporate trustee or a family member or friend as trustee?   How much does a trust cost?   Do I put my house in my trust?  What is Medicaid recapture?Karen is a licensed attorney in the state of Michigan with nine years of private practice in the areas of probate and estate planning.  As part of her practice, Karen was regularly appointed as a Guardian Ad Litem for the Wayne County Probate Court in cases involving minors, developmentally disabled and legally incapacitated individuals, and contested matters.  Additionally, Karen met with private clients to advise them on estate planning solutions and drafted the appropriate documents.  Karen acted as a Trust Officer with U.S. Trust from 2007-2011, and is currently a Trust and Estates Advisor with a regional bank in Detroit, administering irrevocable trusts, assisting in estate settlement, working with clients to identify and achieve wealth management and estate planning goals
