Brian Smith, Founder of UGG Boots, was this week's guest on Success Profiles Radio. We talked about how he was an accountant for 10 years prior to starting his company, and hated it. His original goal was to find a hot product in the USA and introduce it to Australia, but when he realized no one in the USA was wearing sheepskin boots, his goals changed. We talked about the difficulites and challenges involved in creating a market where no one perceived it to exist. We also talked about how perseverance was a huge component in his success, as well as trusting others, being at peace and embracing uncertainty, brand alignment, and how he had to continually get investor funding to keep UGG going in the most difficult moments.
