Sinopse

GUEST: James Lowe June 19th is lauded as an important day for African American history. It's the remembrance and celebration of freedom from slavery in the United States. But there's a lot more to it than simply declaring a group of people as people and labeling them as "free". There are also a lot more hardships faced by African Americans up to and including today. Join Paul and his good friend James as they delve into just a tiny aspect of the much larger discussion on Juneteenth, systematic racism in the US, and the history and treatment of African Americans since their "freedom" via the Emancipation Proclamation in the 1800s.
