To flee from God is to rise against God. It is stand-up, straight-out, in-you-face defiance against the One to whom we owe all loyalty and love. It means insisting that our way of doing things is better than God’s way. Most of us have the capacity to make stupid choices and look back and say, “I can’t believe I did that.” All of us need, at one time or another, a second chance.
