WHEN TRUCK DRIVERS SNAP. It is statistically known, that when pushed too far, a man can go off the deep end. Truck drivers are under allot of pressure to begin with. They were probably in an altered state, say Flo Conway and Jim Siegelman, authors of “Snapping: America’s Epidemic of Sudden Personality Change.” The communication researchers define snapping as a sudden, drastic alteration of personality — but say the snap may actually be a long time in coming. Read more about this in The Seattle Times. In the past there have been episodes where a trucker has snapped to the point of no return. Recently Troy spoke about an incident that happened in the 90's. A truck driver that worked for Transcontinental Refrigerated Lines or TRL, drove his truck from California to the terminal in Pittston PA. After arriving he walked into the dispatch office with a loaded .38 revolver. He proceeded to execute his dispatcher. He then waited for the police to arrive and arrest him. Reports back then said that it was an ong
