Monsignor Charles Pope – What is Prayer?

Informações:

Sinopse

Before considering ways to pray as a couple, Monsignor Pope gave a refreshing talk on the nature of prayer. With reference to Scripture and the writings of the saints, Monsignor unpacked for couples the meaning of prayer as an attentive conversation with God and the Our Father as a structure for “filial” prayer. On Saturday, October 20, 2018, couples throughout the Catholic Diocese of Arlington cast out into the deep to enrich their already profound relationships with God and their fiancé/es or spouses. The Communication and Prayer Workshop was at the Church of the Nativity in Burke, VA, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The event began with Holy Mass and featured talks on expression and understanding, a Q&A, and time for prayer. Speakers included Msgr. Charles Pope of the Archdiocese of Washington, Thérèse Bermpohl, Executive Director of the Office of Marriage, Family and Respect Life of the Diocese of Arlington, and Mary Lynn Dixon, Prayer and Healing Ministry Leader.
