The issue of consensual sex is often only brought up when there is some sort of doubt about whether both people engaging in sex want it to happen. It's a topic that should be discussed prior to any possible sexual encounter. Consent should be the basis for every sexual encounter. Every act requires consent. At any point someone can say no and the other person should respectfully stop. Engaging in a sexual act without the other person's consent is considered sexual assault.
