The dictionary states that, “Divine intervention is the involvement (intervention) of a deity (divine) in the affairs of humans. ... The particular phrase divine intervention, often implying the direction of God to prevent or stop some calamity.” What keeps Christians bound to that which would destroy them, causing guilt and confusion that allows them to feel defeated and ashamed to seek help.
