The latest episode of Blue Line, The Podcast features Amy Ramsay, the past president of the International Association of Women Police and the founding president of the Ontario Women in Law Enforcement. She joins Blue Line editor Brieanna Charlebois for a conversation on the importance of education within the Canadian police service. Ramsay, an advocate for increased education standards among law enforcement professionals, retired on June 30, 2018 as a Sergeant with the OPP. She has taught at Laurier University, Sheridan and Seneca Colleges, the Canadian Police College, Dalhousie University and Northwestern University. She holds undergraduate degrees in Sociology, Women's Studies, and Religious Studies. She also has master’s degrees in Criminology, Education, and Theological Studies as well as doctorates in Criminal Justice, and Management and Organization, specializing in leadership.
