Alternatives to Opioids Program (ALTO) was born in the emergency wing of St. Joseph’s Healthcare System. The program uses music and other alternative therapies instead of opioids to relieve pain. The ALTO program is truly making a difference. “The numbers are just staggering,” says Dr. Rosenberg.
