Because it was great dammit, and, of course, to mock Eric who hadn't seen it – even though he grew up in the 80s. Also, the gang compares "Top Secret" to its contemporaries like "Naked Gun" and "Airplane", but not, of course, "Police Academy" as that series was terrible (except the cartoon.
