That's right, folks! This week we discuss Andrew's favorite Marvel superhero, the one... the only... Carol Danvers, a.k.a Captain Marvel! Specifically, we're talking about the Higher, Further, Faster, More trade by Kelly Sue DeConnick, illustrated by David Lopez with colors by Lee Loughridge and letters by Joe Caramagna. Andrew specifically wanted to say this: Seriously folks, I love the character of Carol Danvers, in all of her complicated history. I feel like I didn't actually geek out enough while recording this episode. Like, I feel like I should have been more giddy with excitement. Anyway, since recording, I saw the movie and loved it, and I'm also going back and re-reading even more of Kelly Sue DeConnick's run writing this character and loving it. Carol is great because she's a feminist character without having to tell us in every panel "hey, I'm feminist" because SHE JUST IS.
