Why is important that our seniors matter? Our seniors are the fabric that holds a community together. They laid the foundation for the success of our communities, and are still a vital and important part of it’s ongoing success. We thought it was important that seniors and their caregivers have a place to ‘go’ weekly to learn, share ideas, share experiences and create a new online community for the betterment of everyone, especially seniors. On “Making Our Seniors Matter” today: Nicole Troiano, CPCA Executive Director of “Retire At Home – MIssissauga South” joins us to talk about caregiver burnout, and the solutions that they can provide to ensure a balanced life for both the caregiver and the senior; Constable Wells from Peel Regional Police Service joins Glenn in studio to talk about home renovation scams (driveways, water heaters; roofing, etc) that are targeting seniors, and ATM theft; Lindsay and Tracey from The Home Updaters join us to talk about some of the great services they provide
