Author and speaker, Ryan “Birdman” Parrott, served eight years as a U.S. Navy SEAL and completed three combat tours to Iraq. In 2005, while manning a gun in enemy territory, his vehicle was hit by an explosive devise, causing a flash fire that resulted in first and second degree burns to his face and body. While he recovered from his burns, Parrott’s fellow soldiers suffered lifelong injuries. In an effort to help, after his retirement from the military, Ryan established Sons of the Flag to assist burn survivors and their families in finding the help and medical attention they deserve.
