On the drive back from Glasgow yesterday, after the second of Yusuf Azak's three album launch gigs, the snow started absolutely horsing it down, to the extent that all the traffic slowed to a sensible single file at about thirty miles an hour, and all you could see was little red tail-lights in the white. It was, if I am being entirely honest, pretty cool. Although of course that's easy to say when you're no more than twenty miles from home and in no actual danger. Anyway, this morning it's all turned icy outside and Mrs. Toad is complaining about the heating not being up to the job, so I think we can safely say that the rituals of Winter have begun!
