COVID is still the number one topic as local governments are passing emergency declarations in anticipation of labor shortages due to vaccine mandates. This is a real concern as the vaccination rate varies in public employees and law enforcement has one of the lowest rates. Another area with lower rates is our field personnel in public works departments, like the guys that run the landfill. Whether you support the mandates or not, the labor shortage they will cause in the local government could be as big a health hazard as COVID. BLM is still moving ahead with removing Horton Pond.
