Perseverance separates the winners from the losers in not only sports but life.  Continuing to explore my foundational principle of P.R.E.S.S., in this episode I am discussing perseverance.  I am answering the question of what makes some people able to keep pressing to completion to the end while others habitually give up, quit or don't follow through.Research has proved that the game changer is dopamine.   Dopamine, a neurotransmitter, is the fuel that keeps people motivated to persevere and achieve a goal. It plays a major role in the motivational component of reward-motivated behavior.Creating a steady flow of dopamine is primary to creating a habit of perseverance.  And it is not something reserved for a few--it is available to you!
