In this episode me and my friend Kieran talk about the Steven Spielberg film 'Amistad'. Along the way we talk about communication and otherness in Spielberg films. We also talk 'Schinder's List', we show our complete lack of knowledge of American history, we talk about the Spielberg season at the BFI (British Film Institute) in London, we do a 'shoutout' to Benview on Spielberg (a fellow Spielberg podcast), we look at Spielberg's career just prior/ post the millennium, we compare this film to both The Color Purple and 12 Years a Slave, we get some feedback from one listener and we continue to moan about Brexit. Please note- there were some issues with the record so there are a handful of jerky edits in the episode but generally the episode is fine.
