I don't think I've ever met any owner of any business who doesn't want to scale, at least to some degree. This desire to grow is underpinned by the belief that more is better, bigger is better, scale is better. But of course, that's not always true. Your company may not be a better place to work, or make better widgets, or even be more profitable just because you scale. In fact, the opposite can happen.
