Memorial Day weekend 2016 local musician Wes Hardin gathered with family and friends to celebrate their new household on Lake Amanda. Less than a week later their lake became a muddy pit. Torrential rains over the weekend lead to flooding and the dam holding Lake Amanda together failed.
