It’s time once again for the Anime Research Society to explore the depths of anime – the good, the bad, the absolutely insane. Join them as they take a look at some of the best and worst of the season and some recommendations to lead you on your research journey. This week, Preston, Remington, and Lisa explore the first three episodes of the predictably uninteresting Death March to the Parallel World Rhapsody. This light novel, turned manga, turned anime centres around programmer Ichiro Suzuki who spends his days fixing bugs in MMORPGs, until a fateful nap sends him to another world inside the game Death March. As you might expect, the ARS team has quite a bit to say about an anime that says very little. The team dole out a few of their favourite anime from past seasons to check out.
