COVID-19 is leaving no aspect of our lives untouched including at universities where students and professors have had to adapt to our new reality.To better understand how COVID-19 is affected different parts of the space community SpaceQ has been talking to and interviewing people.Today my guest on the SpaceQ podcast is with someone from the academic world who teaches students and runs a research lab.That professor is Philip Ferguson from the University of Manitoba where he's the NSERC / Magellan Aerospace Industrial Research Chair in Satellite Engineering. Ferguson teaches undergrad and grad courses and manages a satellite engineering lab. He’s also married, has two children, two dogs and lives outside of Winnipeg on a hobby farm.The interview isn't just about the academic life of Ferguson and his students.
