There are many year-end memes floating around the internet – those who frequent social media apps like Twitter, Instagram, or Reddit know what we're talking about – referencing how painstakingly long, yet shockingly short, 2021 has felt (seriously, the stuck boat was this year?). It does feel like the last year (or two) has been condensed into a flash; while at times, it has felt like time has stopped. But like it or not, 2022 is bearing down on us.
