Land is the UK has changed massively over the years & a classic example of how drastic this change can be, is the hills, meadows & forests of the Lake District. On this week's show I talk with RSPB Haweswater site manager & author of Wild Fell, Lee Scholefield. Lee shares his insights into what it has been like taking over 2 farms on behalf of the RSPB & facing conflict with neighbouring farmers. He also tells us the history of land usage in the UK & why some areas, like the Lake District, have lost so much of their native fauna & flora.
