Richard's career was cut short by a stroke during his age 30 season in 1980. Kevin talks about how he could have been one of the best pitchers of all time if this unfortunate event had not occured. Kevin then discusses the NL East and how things have changed drastically in the last two weeks. The Phillies are now in first place, 2 games ahead of the second-place Braves, with the free-falling Mets all the way in third at 2.5 games back. It looks like this is now a race between the Phillies and Braves down the stretch with the Phillies having the advantage due to their remaining schedule. Kevin wraps up the show with his "Best Bets" for the MVP Awards. The National League race is wide open with the injuries to Acuna, DeGrom, and Tatis.
