On this episode of the GSMC Baseball Podcast host Tom Dougherty recaps all of the All Star action for Washington DC, and talks Manny Machado trade. He give a review of the home run derby that was won by hometown hero Bryce Harper who a dazzled in his final round performace, beating Kyle Schwarber of the Chicago Cubs. On the next day the All Star Game turned into a sort of home run derby 2.0. A total of ten homers were hit in the exhibition between the AL All Stars and the NL All Stars. Jean Segura hit a three-run homer in the 8th to break a 2-2 tie. Reds second baseman Scooter Gennett tied it in the 9th with a homer of his own. The AL took the lead again with back to back homers by Astros teammates Alex Bregman and George Springer.
