Welcome to our Wednesday evening Bible Survey Fellowship. Tonight Pastor Gary Barber is teaching on Jeremiah, chapters 16-20, where we are studying Jeremiah's 7th and 8th sermons, or messages, out of the 12 he gives in the book of Jeremiah. The prophet Jeremiah was called to a life of celibacy because of the hardships of his calling, but we are going to see it was also due to the judgments coming on Judah--judgments foretold by Jeremiah. In these sermons of Jeremiah we are going to see how God reveals His own nature through judgment. We are going to gain new insights into the nature of God, and into several stories that are familiar to us, including the Potter and the Clay, and the story of the Broken Jar.
