Welcome to our Good Friday service, "The Way of The Cross," which refers to the liturgical practice of using various Biblical events in the final moments of Jesus' life as a structure for prayer and meditation. These events encompass Jesus' journey carrying His Cross from the hall of Pilate, where He was condemned to death, to the site of His execution on Calvary. The Way of The Cross is a liturgical way to re-enact that journey as a meditation of worship, an act of devotion to God. In remembering this event by walking The Way of The Cross we are not just re-enacting a two thousand year old event, we are making our own journey, and in the process confessing our own dependence on God.
