We can understand this text in both the literal sense of adultery and imagery often used in the Old Testament as those who lure us away from our faith. Adultery is a theme found several times in Proverbs. In these relationships we find ourselves compromising more and more. This can begin by a slow slipping until suddenly, we find ourselves in a dangerous place. Adultery will lead us to death, but wisdom will lead us to life. This passage can help us practice wisdom by identifying and avoiding adulterous relationships that lead to spiritual death. Speaker:  David Campbell
