In my opinion, a good read is one where I can literally close my eyes and visualize myself watching this play out as if I were a fly on the wall. I could feel emotion through the pages and I could feel the honesty and reality that the author was writing from. Baltimore is my city. It's where I was born and raised. When I think of Sasha, Kendrick or Carlos, I can easily think of an acquaintance or family member that could have easily filled those shoes. The passion from which the author Nigel Ali writes with should not be missed. I recommended my book to a few of my co workers but refused to let them borrow my only copy.
