For the first time in 62 years, the Gold Coast is grieving due to a fatal shark attack. Nick Slater, a 46 year old Gold Coast local was killed by what is believed to be a great white shark around 5:00pm at Greenmount Beach yesterday. With all beaches between Coolangatta and Burleigh Heads closed today, you have to be wondering what the community impact of this tragic event is.
