This book became a runaway hit that, at the very least, changed the perspective of independent travel to a generation hungry for a little more adventure in life. The book was called Vagabonding. It’s author, Rolf Potts is sitting down with us today — he’s the mind behind two books, the other is called Marco Polo Didn’t Go There, a collection of short stories from a life spent embracing "the ragged edge" of travel. He’s an essayist and writer who’s work you can find in publications like National Geographic Traveler, The New Yorker, The New York Times, Sports Illustrated, Travel Channel, The Atlantic, and so many more. Nowadays, he’s a teacher and enthusiast for world travel, and vagabonding — his own term that describes a certain philosophical ethos around long term travel as a lifestyle, a
