Story behind my set: Pollution & Religious Harmony My set starts with haunting sounds of the deep sea as if to say that the sea world is complaining about the way we humans have polluted their homes. You can hear cries of help & anger from the whales… As the set moves on to the second half, I talk about my upbringing… My father, Jalaluddin Ferozali Shroff was a Muslim (Ismaili), and My Mother, Bharati a Hindu (Konkani, Brahmin). We (Shama (My sis) & me) were brought up to be good human beings first, live in harmony, respect one another and spread love. We would celebrate Diwali, Christmas and Ramzan with the same enthusiasm and excitement as the other. Welcomed everyone to our home without discrimination. Never asked anyone, what religion are you? Sadly, times have changed and so have people.. This is my humble attempt to show people that we can all live together and respect each other as humans and not differentiate by religion.
