Join Radio GAG for our new podcast episode “Honor with Action in DC Part 2”. Gays Against Guns was a powerful presence at the Gun Violence Prevention summit week in Washington DC which was attended by many gun violence prevention groups from around the country and organized by the Newtown Action Alliance led by Po Murray. Our show focuses on the Gays Against Guns Press conference at As You Are, an LGBTQ+ cafe and gathering place near the Capitol. Then we ride the bus with Manuel and Patricia Oliver, parents of Joaquin Oliver who was murdered in the Parkland mass shooting to the 10th Annual Vigil for All Victims of Gun Violence at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church. Radio GAG shares original sound from the Vigil, including President Biden’s remarks and those of Keinon Carter, Pulse Survivor. GAG members share their experiences accompanying survivors of gun violence to lobby Senators for a vote on the Assault Weapons Ban and other gun safety legislation before the end of the 117th Session of Congress.
