Sinopse

Mapping Your Manor was a project conceived by Lucy Harrison in 2011, in response to Ackroyd and Harvey's Mapping the Park art commission. The project consists of audio files recorded with community groups in East London. The soundtracks are intended to be used while walking around and through the Olympic Park, although they can also be enjoyed elsewhere. Mapping Your Manor was commissioned by the Olympic Delivery Authority and supported by Arts Council England

    Local walker Chris Crook talks about the Greenway. The Newham Striders and Ramblers walk group are an urban walking scheme offering walks for residents, adults with learning difficulties and visitors.  They aim to provide a social, enjoyable opportunity for individuals to improve health and fitness levels. The walks take place in and around Newham with the majority in local parks.  The Saturday walk is aimed at the more experienced walkers or people who want to progress to a longer more challenging walk.

Local resident Gillian Lawrence returns from an Olympic Park tour to lyricise her view of locals' reactions to the Olympic site rising in their neighbourhood, while Theatre Royal Stratford East volunteer Augustina Unokiwedi Damascus plays a song inspired by her Nigerian heritage. Once the Games are over the site will revert to local use, creating a new corner of east London that mixes the urban with the green.

The Kingsmead Estate lies beyond the Hackney Marshes and is home to the Kabin, where the Good Companions, an over-50s association, meets on a weekly basis. Here, they explain the art of making Oxtail, which is a slow-cooking ritual that is as much about sourcing good ingredients as it is getting the lengthy cooking process right. While the food cooks you can learn about the Hackney Speedway and the stadium that now sits beneath the Olympic site.
