Local walker Chris Crook talks about the Greenway. The Newham Striders and Ramblers walk group are an urban walking scheme offering walks for residents, adults with learning difficulties and visitors.  They aim to provide a social, enjoyable opportunity for individuals to improve health and fitness levels. The walks take place in and around Newham with the majority in local parks.  The Saturday walk is aimed at the more experienced walkers or people who want to progress to a longer more challenging walk.

Taking you away from the Olympic site and the attendant new developments, this tour by local residents takes you to the Right Side of Stratford, introducing you to east London's costermongers and market traders. Architectural, industrial and entertainment history comes to the fore as locals enthuse about the area at the Stratford Community Festival.

Taking you away from the Olympic site and the attendant new developments, this tour by local residents takes you to the Right Side of Stratford, introducing you to east London's costermongers and market traders. The Coming by Gillian Lawrence. Local resident Gillian Lawrence returns from an Olympic Park tour to lyricise her view of locals' reactions to the Olympic site rising in their neighbourhood, while Theatre Royal Stratford East volunteer Augustina Unokiwedi Damascus plays a song inspired by her Nigerian heritage. Once the Games are over the site will revert to local use, creating a new corner of east London that mixes the urban with the green.

Members of the Eton Manor Association provide a musical backing, with songs once sung on the site of the Eton Manor Boys Club, a club founded in the area by Old Etonians.

Oxtail: a cookery session with the Good Companions. a group who meet on the Kingsmead Estate in Hackney. Developed with artist Michael Needham. The Kingsmead Estate lies beyond the Hackney Marshes and is home to the Kabin, where the Good Companions, an over-50s association, meets on a weekly basis. Here, they explain the art of making Oxtail, which is a slow-cooking ritual that is as much about sourcing good ingredients as it is getting the lengthy cooking process right. While the food cooks you can learn about the Hackney Speedway and the stadium that now sits beneath the Olympic site.
