The Drums of War: How Should We Then Live
15/07/2016 Duração: 59minThis past week I (Greg) spent some time in New York City. Of course the events of Dallas, Baton Rouge, and St. Paul, were hot topics of converstation. It is obvious that our nation is divided by race, age, gender, economic status, and political ideology. While riding on public transportation I was saddened to hear on more than one occasion young people expressing that our country is headed towards a civil war or civil uprising. Are these the drums of war beating in our own country? War is the unknown, and should a civil uprising occur nobody can be certain of the outcomes. There are Christians, good people of faith, on both sides of the issues. So, the question then becomes, "How, then, should we live?" GREG AND JOHN bring a unique perspective to the discussion based upon 25+ years of working internationally in Christian ministry. Their insights are challenging and thought provoking. You may not agree with their perspective on the issues, but, you will be challenged to examine your own ideas.

Christians In The 21st Century: Bible-ish, or Bible-less?
17/06/2016 Duração: 58minThis week the President of the United States meet with the survivors and families of victims of Orlando’s Pulse Night Club shooting. His remarks, meant to comfort those in attendance, were also filled with secular progressive dog whistles to signal his intention to silence voices of opposition in the Christian community. Christians are supposed to have an unfailing moral compass in the word of God. But, the church, having realized it lost the culture wars, is in retreat … and Christians are shedding their moral compass to lighten their load while retreating the battlefield…and to allow them to blend in with the population. Is the answer for the Church to simply be BIBLE-ISH or even BIBLE-LESS? You’ll learn more on this edition of Radio Free Patmos Island with Greg Fisher and John Rusk. Today (Friday, June 17th) at 1:30 PM (central)
