We have been talking about becoming vulnerable with the God within and how it benefits us to get real with the God of your understanding! In this lesson we will examine your relationship with God. When you create a comfortable and loving relationship with the One, you will be open to a new way of being. No longer handicapped by indecision or worry, you will move confidently and quietly into a new paradigm for living a life you might not have imagined for yourself. Your honesty with yourself and God is the key to opening doors which have heretofore been closed.

Explore how the chemical composition of a flame mirrors our spiritual journey: inert potential ignites with nurtured thought, fueling collective energy to manifest and spread divine action.

What is your true life purpose? Perhaps this is a daunting question to contemplate. Once addressed, knowing your true purpose will bring a sense of fullness to your life. And perhaps remove any lingering doubt or misgivings you might have.  Having your purpose firmly grounded, everything else flows smoothly and almost effortlessly. No doubt, we are all unique with varied interests and multifaceted abilities and talents.  Nevertheless, we all might agree on this issue. Come and discover your true-life purpose and begin building your life on solid spiritual principles.

In this lesson, we will explore desire and what it brings to your life. We all have hopes , aspirations, dreams, things we want to accomplish , but perhaps we focus too much on outcomes, and not your connection with Spirit ? When your heart is centered in the consciousness of God, your desires are always fulfilled, because God desires only good for you. Let's begin living in the heart of desire and allowing only the good to rain down in your life

When you can learn to release the old ideas from your past , you are opening the pathway for your Spiritual Growth . These can be old thoughts, as well as old behavior patterns and beliefs . Our third Unity Principle. "The thoughts and beliefs we hold in mind create our experiences "  Releasing the past might be difficult for some. These old beliefs are embedded in the subconscious mind. With practice , we can discover a new way of being and letting go will be a start toward a fresh spiritual experience . 

Can our human desire of validation, acceptance and approval hinder us from our true divine nature? So often we allow our conditioned self and other’s opinions to keep us from expressing as our true, authentic self. Cultivating a trusting relationship with God can help move us past any perceived, mortal limitation.

Has life led you to feeling out of sync? When we feel we have gotten caught up in a sense of dis-ease, we have the innate ability to return to the ease and flow of life. Beyond appearances, there is the fundamental Reality of Wholeness in each of us. As we learn to love Wholeness, Love works to harmonize all that seems out of order into divine synchronicity.

“A Simple Service : Prayer and meditation” In this service we will slow down and allow the Presence to wash over you. Simple prayer and meditation are the keys to your success.  We get so busy with life, and all the comings and goings of life events. This Sunday, come casual, and release your cares and worries of the world. Be in the Presence of pure Being , immersed in the love and wisdom of Spirit. If you want to dance, dance. If you want to sing, sing. If you want to clap hands, clap. Allow yourself to let go and Be , be who you truly are ! One in Spirit. 

I had never heard of affirmative prayer before coming to Unity. Honestly, I thought it sounded kinda weird , but I’ve since learned it is very practical .  It is about confirming the truth , that you are one with God and therefore your prayers are sacred . Make the connection with Source(God) in your mind and state your prayer with power . Release the outcome knowing your good is on its way to you. This month we are talking about spiritual practices that will help you on the path toward awakening or enlightenment.( Enlightenment is a path not a destination). Practicing the Presence  is all about being aware , aware of your breath , your thoughts, and your attention. Where does your attention go when you are at work, or at play or at rest? Where is your focus? This practice dovetails with mindfulness ; you might say it is mindfulness. Let's have some fun discovering the benefits of presence and mindfulness. You might be pleasantly surprised how much this practice will improve your daily life.
