"The night had a cool chill to it, like most nights in san francisco, once we entered the castle like building, and heard the thump of the bass, our hearts began to warm us up from within. Could this be the place? We asked to ourselves as we placed one foot in front of the other, this must be it. The stairs to us on a beautiful journey filled with stories you only read about in fairy tales. Upon entering the gala, we were greeted the most luxurious of attendees, dressed to the nine’s with smiles and smirks galore. We had landed in a dream filled with ultimate possibilities and desires. We continued on our path deeper in the reds of our hearts, our souls, we were there. The night had only just begun, with new friends we journeyed as deep as we could go in such a magical story filed location. "The Opel 12 was scheduled to be Elite Force and Meat Katie, 2 of my favorite producers and pioneers of the tech funk sound Opel has championed since 2005 when we first had Meat Katie play our Halloween party. (Only ELF ended up playing that night). But I'd planned a pure tech funk set of some brand new unreleased stuff (which delayed me being able to release this set) and some classics side by side with a sampling of some of my favorite producers in that world such as Meat Katie, Lee Coombs, Vandal, Chevy One and naturally heavy on the Lot 49 sound.
