Freshbeats is back. Back with a slick new mix featuring Deeflash, Dave Richards, Ed Unger, Camy, Rajiv Alfarou and more.

Well, it's September 30th and just about past time for another episode of FreshBeats. This time around, we got a sweet collection of old and new tracks as well as some primo unreleased material. Keep an ear open for a new track by Yoshida. That's J.Davis' and Mark Hollinger's new collaboration project. For those of you not in the know, J.Davis was the man behind the drum and bass act Faith Massive and he also has had releases on Om, Cosmix Flux, Sony/550 and more. Also, up next on MK837 is Deeflash's I See You Everywhere with a remix from Micfreak. That's in this mix as well as one other track. I'll let you check the playlist for that one. This month I’m bringing you some tasty tracks spanning several genres from techno and tech house to progressive and breaks.

This month, we've got a slew of new tracks including a very special one called All Together. It's a white label from my buddy IannaI and the truth is that his whole EP is free for you to download on Bandcamp.

We start things off with a couple of exclusive MK837 previews. We then move on to a rather nice blend of deep, tech and tribal house.

This month’s mix isn’t featuring any promos. I honestly didn’t have time to sort through them. My apologies go out to the labels. I will try to get to them all next month. Instead, I’ve dug deep into the recesses of my Traktor library and pulled out 12 forgotten gems and carefully spliced them together for optimum listening.

So... let's look at this logically. For more than a year, I ran a podcast called Freshbeats over at Tastyfresh.com. It was essentially a promo podcast whose purpose was to promote new music of various genres. Each month I would have to mix from deep house to breaks, psytrance and drum n bass. All of this would be in the same mix. I loved doing it, but I ran out of time and had to stop for a while. When I started up a new podcast, I searched for a new name and could not find one worth using. So, I stuck with "The Dave Richards Podcast". That's lame. Let's admit that. Also, the podcast has turned mainly into me presented promos again. I love doing that, but I want something less structured. I just want to DJ fresh beast for the masses. I don't want to feel obligated to present every promo that comes in and I plan to play some classics as well. Then... there's my label. I need to promote it. With all that on the table, welcome to Freshbeats 2. It will be a fun project for me. I hope you enjoy it as well. This

Welcome to December. For some reason the music released this time of year tends to be pretty depressing. I don’t enjoy that. Fortunately, some great labels came through with some amazing tribal tracks. I through in a few older ones as well as and a couple of my own. Mixed together on three to four decks, everything has been mashed up and twisted into something I really am enjoying today. I hope you will too.
